Okay, we admit it, in spite of all the hype around a new year, new year resolutions, yada yada, we love the beginning of the new year! There is something tantalizing about embracing the new year filled with fresh possibilities.

New Year's Eve we had the opportunity to get together the Hooping Harmony crew (false eyelashes, glitter, sparkle and all) to rock our way through the streets of Northampton with the Offbeat Drummers for the First Night parade. Then we were uplifted by Laura's performance as the Winter Faerie Queen. We were dazzled by amazing fireworks and then New Year's Day, Laura and Brad celebrated their first anniversary. A stellar way to begin a New Year!

This year we are dedicated to enjoying the "journey" more while we have our eye on our larger dreams and goals. Cultivating more joy, more peace right here, right now. Realizing that many of our daily life hiccups and speed bumps are in reality adding depth and texture to our life. So instead of racing to the destination, anyone else want to join us in enjoying the journey as much as the destination?

Still not sure what size or color hoop to buy? Our stylish gift certificates can be applied to any hoop, private lesson or non YMCA class. We can either email it directly to the person or send a paper certificate through the mail.

We also had the opportunity to jam out to the Alchemystics at First Night. The Alchemystics in an attempt to give some historical perspective to the 8+ years they have been together, have decided to give away their first album from 2006 (which has been long out of
print) and their brand new 2011 album Spread Hope. We hope you will enjoy this music for hooping as much as we do!

Hoop Fitness Classes - Ongoing
Location: Greenfield YMCA - 451 Main St, Greenfield, MA
Every: Tuesday and Thursday @ 7:15 - 8:15 pm
Cost: Free for members and $9.00 for non-members
(You do not have to pre-register or be a member of the YMCA for this class, drop-ins are welcome)

January 9 & 23 - Hoop Fit & Flow™ Part Fitness - Part Dance - A whole lot of fun!!!
This is an ongoing class that happens the 2nd & 4th Monday of every month.
Location: The Dynamite Space, lower level of Thornes Market, Northampton, MA
Time: 6:00-7:00 pm
Cost: For each class - $15 or $48 for a 4 class card
$10 for students with an ID
$23 for a parent/child combo (age 7 to 100)
To ensure that you have a space in class, please pre-register! Call Ariana at (413) 219-0352 or email her at ariana@hoopingharmony.com. Drop-ins welcome, just not advised:) We begin promptly at 6:00.

January 22 - Greenfield YMCA Girls Day Out - 12:00-3:00 pm
Location: Greenfield, MA
This is a free event for women of all ages. Bring your friends and treat yourself to an afternoon away. Receive a tour of the facilities, try a demo class, check out the interesting vendors. Jump start your New Year's resolution by grooving out with a hoop with us in the big gym 1:00-2:30 pm! We will have hoops available to purchase.
